We are currently considering opening the Sports Centre one day a week (probably a Wednesday) so that people can use the sports hall facilities – for example for a game of badminton, table tennis or short tennis – or just have a cup of coffee or tea and a chat. BUT – to do this we need to ‘man’ (or indeed ‘woman’) the place with volunteers – to make the coffee, take money for court hire and generally be a reference point for visitors. So if you could spare a couple of hours on a Wednesday to take a shift on the volunteer rota please email Gill Chilvers on email@example.com
Can you spare us a couple of minutes to complete our (very short) customer satisfaction survey? Tell us how you feel about the Centre and what you’d like us to change – and help us demonstrate to our funders that supporting the Centre is worthwhile. Follow the link below.
Do you have ideas for sport and exercise activities you’d like to see happening at the RTC? Could you help us to get your ideas up and running? Maybe you go to a class that you love and you think your instructor might be prepared to come out to Otterburn? Perhaps your kids would like to do martial arts and you’d be prepared to do some research to try and get a class running at the RTC? Maybe you love doing Zumba and you’d like to train as an instructor? Or you used to play badminton and would like to give it a go again? We’d love to hear from anyone with an idea to suggest and a bit of time to help make it happen. As a charity, we can potentially apply for funding for equipment or training or even to subsidise the cost of a coach or instructor. Email Gill Chilvers on firstname.lastname@example.org.
This is a Cross Training Health and Fitness Class designed around the needs of new parents who struggle to get the time to participate in exercise on a regular basis

The link between regular exercise and positive mental health has been studied and proved countless times. The increased productivity and efficiency of everyday life is an amazing benefit PLUS proving yourself and being a role model to your little one on how important regular exercise is what makes Buggy Beat a win-win.

£5 per session or £25 if you pay up front for the full block of 6 weeks more info
A big thank you to everyone that came along to the RTC open evening or contacted us about helping out. A few people have signed up to assist with specific tasks which is great. We’d still love to hear from anyone that might be able to assist with planning a programme of community events (such as quiz nights for example), and those with an interest in getting a particular sport or exercise activity up and running (for example badminton, a running group or walking netball). We are also keen to speak to volunteers that might like to take a lead on human resources matters. To find out more please contact Gill Chilvers via email on email@example.com
